Think Academy's mission is to advance education through science and technology.
Our vision is to create outstanding learning opportunities for every student through high-quality teaching and content, empowered by leading-edge technology.
Every child has the potential to go further when given the right opportunities, guidance, and tools to grow.
That belief has shaped Think Academy from the beginning. We aim to advance education through science and technology, combining thoughtful teaching, high-quality content, and innovative learning experiences to help students discover their strengths, build confidence, and prepare for an evolving future.
Think Academy US is the first Think Academy branch worldwide, and it launched on February 29, 2020, on Leap Day. It is backed by TAL Education Group, a leading global education company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) since 2010.
Today, Think Academy serves families through both online and in-person campuses. Think Academy US Online brings that same philosophy to students nationwide through Think Kids (PreK–Kindergarten), Math (Grades 1–12), and ELA (Grades 2–5, with more grades coming soon), helping every student find a clear pathway toward long-term growth
Parents often ask why we call it a program instead of simply a class or course.
The reason is clear: We know that education, especially in an evolving AI era, is about much more than teaching knowledge in the classroom. It’s about helping students think independently, build lasting learning habits, make informed academic choices, and communicate with confidence. Those skills grow through bold thinking, consistent guidance, regular practice, and support every step of the way.
That's why Think Academy is built as a complete learning program—not just a series of classes. Every student's journey begins with an evaluation, followed by track placement and long-term pathway planning based on their current level and future goals.
From there, students learn through live classes, homework, office hours, workshops, one-on-one progress sessions, quizzes, and continuous academic support. Every part of the program works together so students always know where they are, where they're headed, and how to keep moving forward.
Learning happens anytime, anywhere. Our role is to be there throughout the journey, helping students grow with confidence, purpose, and a clear path forward.
A complete program should create progress families can see and students can build on over time. That's why every part of Think Academy, from curriculum and learning pathways to live instruction and academic support, is designed to work together toward long-term growth.
Over the years, these results have spoken for themselves. 94% of our students entered advanced math tracks in middle school. 90%+ ranked in the top 10% nationally. Every year, more than 1,000 students receive math competition awards.
Perhaps even more telling, students stay with Think Academy for an average of five years, growing from strong foundations to advanced learning. Long-term trust from families is one of the strongest measures of the program we've built.
Our Math program is also fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). This accreditation confirms that our curriculum, teaching standards, and student support systems meet recognized standards for academic quality—giving families added confidence in every step of their child's learning journey.
Behind every great learning experience is a great teacher.
In fact, Think Academy began with teachers. Our founding team included graduates with degrees in education from Stanford University, Yale University, Columbia University, and the University of Pennsylvania, they were all teachers at Think Academy and united by one belief: every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential through thoughtful teaching and long-term guidance.
That belief still shapes how we build our teaching team today. Fewer than 0.7% of applicants are selected to join Think Academy, and every instructor completes extensive training before entering the classroom. Our teachers bring strong backgrounds in education and STEM, with many holding degrees from top universities and years of experience teaching PreK–12 students. Most importantly, they share a passion for teaching and a deep commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
